We're packing up the trailer and heading south. The Bayou Jeep Bash 2026 runs March 27th through 29th at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana, and Trail Gear Oasis will be there.
This is a new one for us. The Bayou Jeep Bash is Louisiana's only dedicated Jeep lifestyle event, hosted by the Bayou Jeep Club and NOLA Motorsports Park, and 2026 marks the first year at this venue. We've been watching this event build momentum over the last few months and the lineup looks legit. Anytime you combine Jeeps, off-road courses, live music, and New Orleans food, we're in.
Here's everything we've pulled together on the event so you can decide if this one's worth the drive. Spoiler: it is.

What to Expect at the Bayou Jeep Bash

From what we've seen, this event is packed for a first year at a new venue. The weekend features off-road obstacle courses, trail rides, live music, a vendor village with aftermarket Jeep parts and accessories, local food vendors, arts and craft vendors, and on-site camping. The whole thing is built around celebrating Jeep culture, promoting responsible off-roading, and supporting local businesses in the New Orleans area.
Trail Ride
The trail ride is a self-guided off-road adventure through Louisiana terrain. It's open to all experience levels, which is good because not every event does that. Whether you're on 33s or 40s, stock or built, this is real seat time on real dirt. More route details are expected closer to the event.
Obstacle Course
The obstacle course features a variety of off-road challenges designed to test skill, control, and vehicle capability. Again, open to all experience levels, so if you've never run a course before, this is a solid place to try it in a controlled environment. We've seen events where the obstacle course ends up being the highlight of the whole weekend.
Competitions
This is where it gets interesting. The Bayou Jeep Bash is running a Lights & Sound Competition and a Show & Shine Competition. If you've put real work into your build, this is your shot to line it up against other rigs and see where you stand.
They're also offering track laps at NOLA Motorsports Park. That's a legit motorsports facility, not a dirt lot. Getting actual track time in your Jeep is something you don't see at most events. If that's available, we'd take advantage of it.
Entertainment
The live music lineup features Shorts in December, Ryan Foret, and Junior and Sumtin' Sneaky. Louisiana knows how to do live music, and having that running throughout the weekend between trail rides and obstacle runs is going to keep the energy up. Expect a mix of upbeat sets and classic bayou sounds on stage all three days.
Offsite Activities
One thing that caught our eye is the offsite scavenger hunt across the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. Drivers visit locally owned restaurants, bars, and attractions while collecting clues and items along the way. It's a cool way to get off the event grounds, explore the area, and support local businesses while you're at it. More details are expected soon.
Food and Vendors
The vendor village will have aftermarket Jeep parts, accessories, arts and crafts vendors, and local food vendors. We always like walking vendor rows at these events to see what's new in the aftermarket space and connect with other brands in the community. And look, this is the New Orleans area. The food situation alone is worth showing up for.
Camping
On-site camping is available at NOLA Motorsports Park. If you're making the drive and want the full experience, camping on-site means you're steps away from everything all weekend. RV camping is available directly through NOLA Motorsports Park.
Registration and What's Included
Jeep registration includes two or four show wristbands depending on your package, one VIP Jeep-only parking pass, your choice of one trail ride pass or one obstacle course pass, entry to all concerts, a 2026 BJB car decal, and a koozie. Daily registrations will also be released closer to the event.
Spectator tickets are available separately if you want to come check it out, walk the vendors, and enjoy the music without registering a vehicle.
Tickets are on Eventbrite now.
Lodging Near NOLA Motorsports Park
The event has partnered with several hotels in the area for group rates, including Hilton, Candlewood Suites, Best Western, and Marriott properties near the venue. Check bayoujeepbash.com for booking links and group codes.
Getting There
NOLA Motorsports Park is in Avondale, Louisiana, about 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans. It's an easy drive from most of the Gulf South. Houston is around 5 hours out. Mobile is about 2.5. Jackson, MS is roughly 3. Atlanta is around 7. If you're flying, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is a short drive from the venue.
Honestly, even without a Jeep event, it's New Orleans. Plan to stay a little longer if you can swing it.
Come See Trail Gear Oasis at the Bayou Jeep Bash
We'll be set up in the vendor village with our 2-in-1 trail covers and rain gear on display. If you've been thinking about picking one up for your Wrangler or Gladiator, this is your chance to see it in person, check the material, see how the setup works, and ask us anything.
We'll have covers on display for 2-door and 4-door Wranglers including the JK, JL, JKU, JLU, TJ, and LJ. Every cover is model-specific, not a universal fit. Come by the booth, check them out, and say what's up. We're always down to talk Jeeps.
See You on the Bayou

The Bayou Jeep Bash is growing fast, and everything we've seen so far tells us this is going to be one of the standout Jeep events in the Gulf South for 2026. We'll be there and we're bringing gear.
Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for live coverage from the event. If you're heading to Avondale March 27-29, come find us. We'll be there.
