Jeepin The Coast 2026 Mississippi Gulf Coast event May 27-31 Trail Gear Oasis proud sponsor

Jeepin The Coast 2026: Five Days of Jeep Family on the Mississippi Gulf

We're heading back to the Gulf. Jeepin The Coast 2026 runs Wednesday, May 27 through Sunday, May 31 on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and Trail Gear Oasis is a proud sponsor of the event for the second year running.

Five days. Thousands of Jeeps. Beach runs on actual sand, a Jeep parade through town, a kickoff party, vendor village, and a community that treats this thing more like a family reunion than a car show. Jeepin The Coast started small and has become one of the most loved Jeep events in the South, and a big part of that is the people behind it and the charity work it supports every single year.

If you've been before, you already know what kind of week this is. If you haven't, this is the one to come find out.

Why This Event Hits Different

A lot of Jeep events are show-and-shines with some swap-meet energy. Jeepin The Coast is something else. It's a community event built around an actual cause, hosted across multiple Gulf Coast towns, and run by people who know every single attendee by name by the third day.

The Mississippi Gulf has hard-packed beaches that Jeeps are actually allowed to drive on. The parade rolls through Gulfport and the surrounding towns. The vendor village stays open the full event. After-parties run every night. And the charity partnerships behind the event are real, not a token line on a flyer.

Bring the family. Plan to stay the week. The Gulf in late May is warm water, soft sand, long daylight, and seafood that doesn't quit.

Beach Runs on the Mississippi Gulf

This is what brings most people to the coast. The Mississippi Gulf has stretches of beach where registered Jeeps can run on the sand together, and the JTC organizers have it dialed. Slow-roll cruises, group photo ops, and a chance to actually drive your rig somewhere most events only let you park.

Air down before you hit the sand. Bring a deflator and a compressor. The hardpack here is more forgiving than the Outer Banks but it still gets soft in spots, and there is no shame in getting a strap out and helping a buddy through. That's half the fun.

If you've never run sand before, JTC is a great place to learn. The drivers around you have done it. Ask questions. Get spotted. You'll figure it out fast.

The Parade

Jeepin The Coast runs a Jeep parade that rolls through the Gulf Coast towns with hundreds of rigs lined up and dressed out. Tops off, music going, families lining the route. It's the kind of moment that reminds you why this community shows up year after year.

Decorate your rig. Bring beads to toss. Wave at the kids on the curb. The parade route changes year to year but it's always the highlight of the week for first-timers.

Vendor Village

Vendor Village runs all week and brings together off-road outfitters, aftermarket brands, lifestyle apparel, recovery gear, lighting, audio, and food. Confirmed sponsors and vendors for 2026 include Allen Beverages, Pepsi, Michelob Ultra, Mitchell Distributing, Bacchus, Southern Jeep Outfitters, Sully's, Paws on the Pass, Play Coastal MS, Weaver Electric, Bay St. Louis, City of Long Beach, Pass Christian, and Coastal Daiquiri Bar and Grill, alongside Trail Gear Oasis and many more.

It's a real working vendor village. Aftermarket guys with parts on tables. Brands showing real products. Local Gulf Coast businesses representing the area. Worth a full afternoon to walk through.

The Charity Behind It

JTC has built its identity around giving back. The event has long-standing partnerships with local Mississippi charities, and a meaningful portion of registration and event proceeds go directly to those causes. When you sign up for Jeepin The Coast, you're not just buying a ticket to a Jeep event. You're funding the work the organizers do for the Gulf Coast community.

You can read more about their charity partners on the Jeepin The Coast charity page.

Where to Stay

The Mississippi Gulf Coast has beachfront hotels, condos, and casino resorts up and down Highway 90 from Bay St. Louis to Biloxi. Gulfport is the geographic center of most JTC events, so a hotel between Pass Christian and Biloxi puts you in the right zone.

If you're rolling in with the family, the casino resorts in Biloxi (Beau Rivage, IP, Hard Rock) offer more amenities. If you want the small-beach-town vibe, Bay St. Louis and Pass Christian are quieter and closer to the water.

JTC fills up the coast every year. Don't wait to book.

You can find lodging recommendations on the Jeepin The Coast Where to Stay page.

Where to Eat

The Mississippi Gulf is one of the best seafood regions in the country. Shrimp, oysters, gulf fish, po'boys, gumbo, jambalaya. The JTC team keeps a running list of local restaurants on their Where to Eat page, and the local favorites are the ones to chase. Skip the chains. Eat where the locals eat.

A few staples to put on your list: Sully's, Coastal Daiquiri Bar and Grill, and any of the seafood shacks along Highway 90. If you've never had a Gulf Coast oyster po'boy, this is your week.

Getting to the Gulf Coast

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) is the closest. New Orleans Louis Armstrong (MSY) is about 90 minutes west. Mobile, Alabama is about an hour east.

If you're driving, I-10 runs straight along the coast. From Houston it's a long but doable day. From Atlanta, around 6 hours. From Dallas, around 9. From Memphis, about 6.

This is one of the easier Jeep events to get to from anywhere in the South.

Come Find Trail Gear Oasis at the Vendor Village

We'll be set up in the Jeepin The Coast Vendor Village all week. Stop by, walk through our covers in person, and ask questions.

Our 2-in-1 Jeep Wrangler trail covers are built specifically for Jeep platforms, not adapted from a generic SUV pattern. Each one is full waterproof rain protection and a sun shade in one quick-install package. We make Jeep-specific fitments for the JK and JL 2-Door, JKU, JLU, TJ, and LJ.

We'll also have our brand new Sidekick Universal Shade on display. Universal fit, straps to anything, deploys in minutes. Built for camp, beach, tailgate, or anywhere you can anchor it. Come see it set up and put your hands on it.

You can read specs online and watch the setup guides, but seeing one on a real rig beats every photo we've ever taken.
